So I recently went to Blogosphere Cafe hosted by Blogosphere Magazine. It was a gorgeous sunny day in London which instantly put me in the best mood! I’d arranged to meet up with Julia, Jess & Holly in Westfield Stratford City before the event. Make sure you check out all of their blogs because they’re all amazing! No doubt Westfield was my idea but you can’t take the shopping out of a shopaholic haha. After getting into London Euston I took the tube over to Stratford and met up with Julia first. We immediately went to the Missguided store which I was way too excited over haha! Then Jess joined us and we did some more shopping before heading over to Southwark on the tube to meet Holly.
We met Holly and headed over to The Gallery, Lumiere London. The last event which was Blogosphere Valentines Tea Party was in the same venue. Stupid me thought I still remembered the way even though I have absolutely no sense of direction at all haha! I definitely took us the wrong way and we ended up looking at maps on our phones… Which didn’t really help because I can’t read maps either haha. We did finally get there though! The venue was absolutely lovely we’d been in the Tropical Library last time but this time the event was being held in The Gallery. It was so lovely and spacious. Also the whole place was totally instagrammable…. I was loving it haha.
We started off with a little ice breaker activity which was fun. We had to go round and find what people blogged about and add them to the sheet we were given. It made starting conversations a whole lot less daunting and I really enjoyed. I always find meeting other bloggers so inspirational. I love seeing people talk about their blogs and writing with such passion.
We were offered prosecco, soft drinks or tea and coffee. Plus there was snacks available too! How good do these donuts look. I don’t know how I managed to resist not eating one haha.
I also got a change to speak to everyone at So…? Fragrances again which was so lovely. I was lucky enough to get to have a look at all the new body mists that have been added to the collection. Pink Grapefruit is my absolute favourite! Definitely go and check out the body mists they are perfect for your handbag in spring and summer. They are available form both Boots & Superdrug.
It was such a good day and completely chilled. I really enjoyed it and I’m so happy to have met new bloggers who I’ll hopefully see again soon. Thank you to everyone at Blogosphere for organising the event. I always have the best time and I can’t wait for the next event again.
I hope you enjoyed reading,
I recently went to BlogConLDN at the QEII Centre organised by the lovely Scarlett from Scarlett London. I was so excited for the event I’ve previously been to Bloggers Ball but I’d missed out on Bloggers Festival so I’d been counting down the days to BlogConLDN!
Usually I go to events alone but this time I’d planned to go with my blogger friends I previously met at Bloggers Halloween Party last year! I’ll make sure to link all their blogs at the end so you can check them all out.
I got the train into London Marylebone and caught the tube to meet Loren, Nikki, Hazel & Amy over at London Euston. We then travelled over on the tube to Westminster for the event. When we arrived there were a lot more people than I had been expecting. The room the event was in was incredibly spacious though so it wasn’t cramped at all which is what I’d first been worried about.
One of the brands I particularly loved were Love Inc. I think I literally spent like 5 minutes just staring at all the Neon LED signs before I even said anything! The photo of the one above was my absolute favourite. If you want to check out ‘We Should Hang Something Cool Here’ sign check out the link here. I’ve been thinking about getting a neon LED sign for absolutely ages so it was nice to discover a new brand.
We were able to create our own flatlays at the stand as well which was super fun. There was literally everything you can imagine to use in the flatlays… Different design paper, sweets, glitter! Since the event I’ve been having a good browse of their online store. Another one of my favourite signs are the ‘Good Times’ light which you can check out here. If you’re looking for eye catching signs, beautiful candles and cute prints make sure you go show them some love!
The next brand which I already loved were Chi Chi London. I was so excited to see they were at BlogConLDN! They sell the most beautiful clothing… Like seriously there dresses are to die for! After browsing and pining a little bit over all of the gorgeous dresses on the hangers. I headed over to enter Chi Chi’s competition they were running. So Amy, Hazel and me had our photo taken and I absolutely love it. The only downfall is you can see my playsuit was too big for me haha. The legs were meant to be tight but we’ll brush over that fact! You can see a few of the gorgeous dresses below that Chi Chi bought. I’ve also included my top four dresses I’m loving off of their website at the moment.
My top four dresses from Chi Chi:
I’ve never had my hair done once by someone else and I managed to get it done twice in one day. Natural World were another of my favourite brand that were there. They offer natural and organic hair care products. If you have frizzy hair to greasy hair there is a product for you! The Natural World range includes Argon Oil, Keratin, Coconut Water and Chia Seed Oil. All of these are great for your hair.
I’m going to be trying a few products from Natural World so I’ll make sure to write a review on what I think about them soon. Plus how gorgeous is the cute little twist braid in my hair! It was perfect to get the hair off of my face because it was absolutely boiling in the venue!
The Glam App were also there and it was so interesting to meet everyone and chat about the app. The Glam App is amazing and can cater for your beauty and hair demands. They offer a range of services that they will bring to you! Which I think is a complete bonus because I mean I can’t be the only one who sometimes just doesn’t want to leave the house to go to a salon… If you live in London this will be perfect for you.
I also got some beautiful curls put in my hair and honestly I felt pretty fabulous with them in. I’ve already said I will be using The Glam App for an upcoming photoshoot for new headshots for both my makeup and my hair! I’ll make sure to include that in a new post. If you want to check out more info on the app then visit their site here.
Overall I had an amazing time at BlogConLDN! It was perfect for connecting with brands and other bloggers. Something that I always love doing! The only thing that could’ve been improved was there was little space for the talks to take place. Therefore the tables ended up too overcrowded and I couldn’t hear what the speakers were saying. Other than that though I had a great time and I can’t wait to go to another one of Scarlett’s events, she’s amazing!
I hope you enjoyed this post,
Thank you for reading,
So if you follow me on Twitter then you’ll definitely have seen I’ve been tweeting pretty much constantly about What The Butler Saw for the past week. If you have no clue what that is then quickly get yourself on google now and find out! I’ve been planning on getting out to see more theatre shows to inspire me recently. I thought I’d let you know all my thoughts and feelings of the day and what went on. It honestly was one of the best days!
I travelled around an hour to the Curve theatre in Leicester and I was meeting friends when I got to the event. I was so excited on the way! What The Butler Saw is a play that was written by Joe Orton. This year it’s been 50 years since he sadly passed away so the play was put on to celebrate the work of Leicesters own playwright directed by Nikolai Foster.
I hadn’t actually heard of the show before now and I was quite glad of that. There were mixed opinions about whether you should research the show beforehand or just go in blind. I would totally recommend going in absolutely blind. I think it made it more exciting I was literally on the edge of my seat throughout the whole show… I never wanted it to end! I had no idea what to expect and I loved it.
I don’t particularly want to give everything or anything away but it was absolutely hilarious! Although I imagine some would find controversial at times you have to go in with a light heart. Incredible and powerful performances from all involved. Catherine Russell and Rufus Hound are the combination of the perfect pairing for the Prentices. Astonishing performance from Jasper Britton who had me crying of laughter multiple times throughout the show! I honestly think no matter who you are you will enjoy this show. I would 100% recommend it… I’ve already been twice and I”m going for the third time.
I was lucky enough to meet so amazing people who I hope I will stay in contact with for a long time. Thank you to them for making me feel so much more at ease throughout the day. I was also lucky enough to meet Catherine Russell and Rufus Hound after the show.
Catherine has been an idol to me for a long time and she’s one person who keeps on inspiring me and pushing me on to become and actress. I felt extremely lucky to be able watch her in action because her acting quite frankly always takes my breath away. We all also managed to run into Rufus in the cafe after the show and he was lovely enough to stop to have a picture with us.
I would 10/10 recommend going to see the show whether you are an avid theatre goer or not. I promise you you won’t regret it! Absolutely class acting from everyone involved. The whole show is so well thought out from the set, to the props to the lighting.
If you want to go and see the show although finished in Leicester it will be showing at the Theatre Royal in Bath from 27th March – 1st April. There are both matinee and evening show tickets available still. You can purchase them HERE.
I’ll be going again to the matinee performance on 1st April.
If you’ve seen the show let me know what you thought in the comments. Also let me know what theatre shows I should go and check out if you’ve seen a particularly good one.
Thank you for reading,
Hello loves! I’m so excited about sharing this post with you. I recently went to the Blogosphere Valentines Tea Party. It was such an amazing day and I couldn’t wait to share with you all about my day and the event. Before the event I travelled over to Notting Hill to meet fellow bloggers Nirvana and Serena who were also attending the event. We decided to have some lunch together at Pizza Express beforehand. I hadn’t been to Pizza Express in literally like 5 years or something haha. The meal was so good but so huge I was never going to finish it.
After having lunch we headed over to Southwark for the event which was at the Tropical Library, Lumiere London. I’d never heard of it before but I’d had a look at a Google Maps beforehand to try and plan the route. It wasn’t that far from the tube station and I thought it would be an easy walk…. Turns out it wasn’t haha. Safe to say we got a little lost but after a lot of wondering and help from a lady on her balcony we eventually found it! The Tropical Library itself was totally not what I was expecting. I absolutely loved it it’s probably the most instagramable place I’ve been ever haha! It definitely thought it was the perfect place to hold an event.
Everyone was beyond lovely there as always. I find events like this as well as so good for networking with brands but also getting lots of tips etc. from other bloggers. I forget that I haven’t actually been doing that of this long so any tips I’m grateful for. I was so excited as always to get to hear from different brands. All of them I’ll include so you can learn a little more about them!
Pearl And Groove
Thought I definitely needed to give a mention to Pearl And Groove. On our way in to the event there were and a table of cakes provided by Pearl And Groove. They almost looked so stunning that you kind of didn’t want to eat them haha… That might just be me though. All the cakes were gluten free which was even better because I prefer eating anything gluten free. I regret not actually trying once because they looked so nice! So I’ll definitely be heading over to their bakery on Portobello road soon. You can check them out their website HERE.
It was so great to get to talk about Dr Lipp’s Original Nipple Balm. Before you get confused by the name let me explain haha. This balm cannot only be used for chapped lips but for dry skin patches, burns, split ends… Plus more! It’s totally amazing and the dual purpose is what makes this product so original. Plus it’s all 100% natural which makes me feel even better for using it! I can’t wait to try it out as I do suffer with dry lips. I’ll make sure to update you on what I think. if you want to check out Dr Lipp visit their website HERE.
SAMAYA is a relatively new all natural skin care brand. They specialise in doing cleanser, anti-ageing cream and anti-ageing treatment oil. The skin care brand are based on the ‘Ayurvedic Principles’ which help you achieve a ‘perfect balance’ in your life starting with your skin. There are three types of the skin care products VATA, PITTA and KAPHA. What’s really great is you can go onto their website and do a quiz to see which would be more suitable for you. You can check their website out HERE.
Kat Von D
I’m sure we’ve all heard of Kat Von D! It’s probably been one of the most talked about make-up brands so far this year. The brand is originally American however has just launched in Debenhams recently. I’ve been wanting for so long to try some of their products especially the ‘Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks’ which I was lucky enough to be able to swatch. Plus we got to see some products that will be released shortly in the UK… Trust me you should get excited! Although I didn’t have time, Kat Von D were also colour matching with their ‘Lock-It Liquid Foundation’. I need to get my hands on it if you like high coverage foundation then go and purchase it. It honestly works wonders. You can shop the products on Debenhams HERE.
I’ve heard of but never tried anything from Glo&Ray. So I was so excited to get to look at all their products. Instantly I fell in love with the matte lipsticks. I will definitely be trying more of Glo&Ray’s products. Everything is relatively affordable and won’t break your bank account which is even greater. I’ve got a matte lipsticks, an eyeliner and a brow pencil to try. I will definitely be writing a review when I’ve tried out the products. If you want to check out the website you can visit it HERE.
The Duppy Share
As we arrived at The Tropical Library The Duppy Share were there to serve us their LoveDup punch. It looked so good and although I don’t drink I though I’d give it a try. I’ve never had rum before so this was my first time giving it a go. Personally it was way too strong for me but I’m not used to drinking haha! If you like rum though go and check them out HERE.
Book Your Lifestyle
Book Your Lifestyle have over 150 spas & salons in London. You can go online and book beauty treatments online so if you’re looking for a bit of pampering definitely go and check them out. I can;t wait to hopefully work with them in the future so watch this space. If you want to see what treatments and services they offer visit their website HERE.
The Flash Pack
I absolutely love The Flash Pack! They offer unique photo booths for events, parties etc. At Blogosphere Valentines we were able to post for the front cover of the magazine which was so fun. We got a print out and I had mine emailed to me too. I absolutely love it! I’ll definitely be looking at them for any future events that I organise. Check them out HERE.
Overall I literally had the BEST day ever! I was so glad that I was able to go and I’m forever grateful for all the opportunities I get. Thank you to all the amazing gals at Blogosphere for organising the event. This is my 3rd Blogosphere event and I always have an amazing time. After Blogosphere Valentines I go home and honestly I felt so super inspired and motivated. It really just showed me where all this work can take me. I forget sometimes that I’ve not even been blogging for a year yet and I still can’t quite believe how much I’ve achieved already! I’m actually super proud of myself and why shouldn’t I be. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has to bring and hopefully more Blogosphere events.
I really hoped you enjoyed reading this post,
Thank you for reading,
I recently visited the BBC Good Food Show on the 26th and 27th November. I’d never been before and I was lucky enough to be granted a press pass for my first year. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the event but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I absolutely love baking and cooking and there was definitely plenty there to keep me entertained. There were a big variety of food stalls as well. I always think sometimes at big exhibitions like these they can be a bit all same same this one definitely wasn’t though. Everyone was very polite and it was very nice to see people talk with so much passion about the products they sell or the food they make.
The first things I did when I got there on the Saturday was head to by one of Mary Berry’s recipe books. If you don’t know I’m obsessed with the Great British Bake Off and I absolutely love Mary Berry. She was one person I definitely wanted to meet in my life. Luckily for me I managed to get in the queue to her book signing. I was super excited and the hour long wait was totally worth it. She was just as lovely as I had imagined and I was super happy afterwards. They also allowed photos to be taken which I thought was great as well. I like to have the photo memories to look back on.
It was difficult but I had to pick out some of my favourite stalls and brands from the Good Food Show. I’m absolutely in love with these ‘Get Fruity’ oat bars. I’ve been reaching for one most mornings for breakfast. I was kindly given a load of boxes to try and I’ve eaten most of them and purchased more since then. My favourites are the ‘Marvellous Mango’ and the ‘Scrumptious Strawberry’ bars. What’s great about these is they’re made from only natural fruits, oats and coconut oil… Plus they’re gluten free! I will have a full review going up on my blog soon so watch this space. You can visit there website HERE.
I’m not actually all that into cake or chocolate much to most people’s surprise. I actually could not resist these though. How good do they look?! These were made by a company called ‘Flower & White’ they had an impressive range of cakes and meringues. I made sure I write everything down ready to google them when I got home! Turns out they have a shop as well were you can buy all of their sweet treats. So if you are a lover of all cakes, meringues and muffins make sure to check out their shop HERE.
I thought these were really intriguing when I heard it was lemonade but not fizzy… I really hate fizzy drinks. I stopped drinking them years ago and now I can’t stand them. I thought why not give this a go! I tried ‘The Original’ and ‘The Orange’ still lemonade. You don’t understand how nice it is until you try it! Personally I think the lemon taste is obviously stronger in these than actual fizzy lemonade but I prefer that completely! If you don’t like fizzy drinks definitely give these a try. Unfortunately they don’t have an online store. However you can check the list of stockists HERE. There may be one near you!
Although I always try to steer myself away from chocolate, sweets, cake etc. Fudge is the one exception it’s the only sweet thing I really really like. I always have ever since I was a child. So when I found this stall and was presented with flavours of fudge I’d never tried I knew I had to share this company with all of you. ‘The Ochil Fudge Pantry’ create these amazing home-made pieces of fudge for only £2 each! I’m definitely going to be ordering some soon. i’m most excited to try the White Chocolate and the Chocolate Orange fudge. If you’d like to purchase any of their products or get more info you can visit their website HERE.
Overall I had an amazing time and I’d definitely go again! I’ll be making sure I go to the summer food show next year. I’m sure it’ll be here before we know it. Next time I’d like to go to the theatre shows as I didn’t get chance to go this year. If you have a love for food and have never been I 10/10 recommend you go! If you want more information on the BBC Good Food Show or the upcoming shows check out the website HERE.
Let me know if you went to the Good Food Show and what your favourite parts of the show were in the comments. I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
Thank you for reading,
I recently visited Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas market. After meeting some lovely blogger friends at Blogger Halloween Party we decided to all meet up and go to the Christmas Market. I’ll make sure that I include all their amazing blog links at the end of the post! I headed off quite early to be able to meet everyone for some reasons there weren’t many trains. I finally managed to get into Birmingham Moor Street and I walked over quickly to meet the others. We spent a while in the Bullring doing some shopping. I especially enjoyed looking at the Christmas decorations in the Disney Store haha. We then headed outside to the Christmas Market.
I’ve been to the Christmas Market in Birmingham a couple of times before. I always love it and find it really interesting every year. I’d be lying if I said it was different to the other years though. I find it can be quite same old same old. Nevertheless I still thoroughly enjoyed it though! I always find I manage to get some get photos every year! I found that going on a Sunday morning was a great time to go! It wasn’t too busy at all and I can enjoy it so much more when I’ve got space to breathe haha. The only thing I wish I could’ve done would maybe be spend more time trying some of the different foods but unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well and could only stick to water that day.
I’d totally recommend visiting the Frankfurt Christmas Market especially if you haven’t been before! If you’re not in the festive spirit yet it’ll definitely get you into it. All I’d advise is that it’s best to go more early in the morning and not a Saturday as I find middays and Saturdays it tends to be completely packed!
I hope they’ll be many more trips to come with all of my blogger friends. Make sure to check out all their links below and give them some love:
